States are getting new guidance from the White House on how to reopen after the coronavirus outbreak.
On Monday President Trump announced the guidelines at the White House.
He told states they will have to pull their weight when it comes to coronavirus testing.
The guidelines say states should develop their own plans for testing and tracing coronavirus infections.
And according to those guidelines, the federal government should be the supplier of last resort for testing materials.
States are encouraged to test at least two percent of their populations, particularly focusing on emergency workers and vulnerable groups.
Earlier this month the White House announced its initial reopening plan but did not specify how to proceed without widespread testing.
