We have breaking news to share with you.
Just moments ago — a panel of FDA vaccine advisors voted 16 -to -2 *against* authorizing the addition of a third Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to boost the two-dose regimen.
The Biden administration received a flurry of criticism from health experts when the president announced he was preparing to roll out booster Covid-19 shots for most Americans by next Monday September 20th.
And the meeting was packed with presentations arguing there’s enough evidence of waning immunity to justify giving booster doses.
But the FDA committee ruled a third shot won’t help control the pandemic and the focus should be on making sure more Americans get the first two shots before shifting to a third.
Again — the FDA just voted against a booster shot for Americans who have been fully vaccinated.
But another vote is scheduled regarding booster shots for Americans 60 and older.
