Firefighters continue to battle historic wildfires in Australia.
And newly released video shows the explosive risk they’re facing on the front lines.
This is video of a bushfire ripping through Australian treetops and it looks like a disaster movie.
It was captured by firefighters battling blazes in New South Wales.
In the blink of an eye, the fire moved to the treetops resulting in a towering inferno.
It’s a phenomena called “crowning.”
Firefighter scrambled get away from the blaze and reported that no one was injured.
Environmentalists say Australia is experiencing one of its worst bushfire seasons on record.
It has led to the longest and most widespread period of air pollution for New South Wales.
Over 100 bush and grass fires are burning across the Australian state with nearly 60 percent of those fires not yet contained.
And the weather is only expected to make matters worse as high winds and temperatures are anticipated this week.
