And finally Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful mother and all the mothers watching right now.
Mother’s Day was created by a woman named Anna Jarvis in 1908 to honor her mother.
It became an official holiday in 1914.
Unfortunately because of the coronavirus many people will not be able to visit their mothers this year.
Health officials say people should refrain from celebrating Mother’s Day in large crowds.
That just means you get to be a little more creative.
There are plenty of ways to celebrate like a virtual celebration, a vehicle parade or even a simple virtual meeting where the family gathers online to hear mom tell stories about her childhood.
And for gifts she might appreciate things to do while stuck at home.
Me and a couple of my Sign1News coworkers are honoring our mothers with a short video montage to thank them for loving, encouraging, teaching and sacrificing for us and for always being our biggest cheerleaders from the moment we were born.
