The coronavirus pandemic has canceled sporting events across the country and around the world.
But it didn’t stop New York’s 48th annual Nathan’s hot dog eating contest.
In the men’s division Joey Chestnut gobbled down 75 wieners and buns in 10 minutes to win his 13th title.
He also made history by eating his 1,000th career dog.
In the women’s division Miki Sudo ate 48.5 hot dogs and set a world record by clinching her seventh title.
The coronavirus crisis did force some changes.
Competitors were separated by clear barriers and the people bringing them fresh supplies wore masks.
